Hastelloy B3 sheets and plates are primarily composed of 60-63% nickel, 28-30% molybdenum, and 2-3% iron, with small amounts of carbon, cobalt, manganese, and silicon. This composition provides exceptional resistance to hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid and other aggressive chemicals, particularly in reducing environments. The mechanical properties of Hastelloy B3 include a tensile strength of approximately 70-90 ksi (480-620 MPa) yield strength of 30-50 ksi (205-345 MPa) and elongation of 30-45% ensuring excellent durability and resistance to corrosion. While maintaining high strength and formability under extreme conditions in chemical processing and other industrial applications.
