Stainless Steel 409 Channel is a ferritic stainless steel containing approximately 10.5–11.75% chromium, often stabilized with titanium. This composition provides basic corrosion resistance and good oxidation performance at moderate temperatures. Mechanically, it offers moderate tensile and yield strength, good ductility, and excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. While its corrosion resistance is lower than higher-chromium grades, it performs well in heat-exposed structural applications.
