Monel UNS N05500 Foils are primarily composed of nickel (63-70%) and copper (27-33%), with additional elements including aluminum (2.3-3.1%) and titanium (0.35-0.85%). Trace amounts of iron (2.5%), manganese (1.5%), and silicon (0.5%) are also present. This unique composition enhances both strength and corrosion resistance particularly in marine and high-temperature environments. Monel K500 foils exhibit a tensile strength of 860-1035 MPa, a yield strength of 550 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 35%. These foils also possess exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and oxidation, making them suitable for demanding industrial applications.
