Monel Sheets and Plates are primarily composed of 63% nickel, 28-34% copper, with small amounts of iron (2.5%), manganese (2%), carbon (0.3%), and silicon (0.5%). This composition gives Monel excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater, acidic, and alkaline environments. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 70-85 ksi (485-585 MPa), yield strength of 30 ksi (205 MPa), and an elongation of 40% in 2 inches (50 mm). With a hardness of approximately 200 Brinell, Monel Sheets and Plates are ideal for demanding industrial applications requiring durability, high strength, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
