Stainless Steel 440C Circle is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel alloy containing approximately 16–18% chromium and around 1.0% carbon. This composition provides excellent hardness, high strength, and superior wear resistance after heat treatment. Mechanically, the alloy offers very high tensile strength, outstanding abrasion resistance, and good dimensional stability. It also provides moderate corrosion resistance in mild environments, making it suitable for precision and load-bearing applications.
