Stainless Steel 410S is a low-carbon martensitic stainless steel alloy containing approximately 11.5–13.5% chromium. The reduced carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, improving corrosion resistance and weldability. Mechanically, it offers moderate tensile and yield strength, good toughness, and excellent wear resistance. While slightly lower in hardness compared to 410, 410S maintains good dimensional stability and durability, making it suitable for structural and moderately corrosive applications where welding is required.
