Monel K500 Sheets and Plates primarily consist of 63% nickel, 28-34% copper, with 2-3% aluminum, 1.5% titanium, and trace amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This unique composition provides enhanced strength, toughness, and excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in seawater and aggressive environments. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 130-150 ksi (895-1035 MPa) yield strength of 60 ksi (415 MPa), and an elongation of 30% in 2 inches (50 mm). The alloy also boasts a hardness of around 200 Brinell making it ideal for applications in harsh and high-performance environments.
