Inconel 601 foils are composed primarily of nickel (approximately 58-63%) with significant amounts of chromium (21-25%) and iron (approximately 15-20%), along with small quantities of aluminum (1.0-1.5%) and other trace elements. This unique composition provides excellent oxidation and carburization resistance, especially at elevated temperatures. The mechanical properties of Inconel 601 foils include high tensile strength, ranging from 55 to 85 ksi (379 to 586 MPa), good creep resistance, and exceptional weldability. These properties make Inconel 601 ideal for applications in high-temperature environments, such as aerospace and chemical processing.
